Kevin Spacey Charged with Four Counts of Sexual Assault

American actor Kevin Spacey has been charged with four counts of sexually assaulting three men. Britain’s Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) reported on Thursday that Spacey was also charged with one count of causing someone to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent.

The charges relate to two alleged incidents in London in 2005. While another two were in 2008. And, another incident happened in Gloucestershire in west of England in 2013.

The alleged victims of the 2005 incident are now in their 40s. Meanwhile, the two men suspected of being involved in the 2008 and also 2013 incidents are now in their 30s. This was confirmed by the London Metropolitan Police. The decision to charge Spacey follows a review of the evidence collected by the Metropolitan Police Service in its investigation.

Meanwhile, the charges were approved Thursday. Kevin Spacey is not currently in England or Wales. And it means that the charges cannot be formally applied until he enters one of those countries. The agency did not comment on whether it will seek Spacey’s extradition if he does not.

Kevin Spacey is the one who won two Academy Awards for his roles. They were in The Usual Suspects and American Beauty. He was also the artistic director of London’s Old Vic theater from 2003 to 2015. Not only this, he also starred in the Netflix political series House of Cards. And last year, he returned to acting. Of course, this news is shocking for fans.
